Why did you choose to work at Rainbow Pediatric Center? My family moved to Florida to be closer to our extended family and to settle down and put down some roots. After looking at several potential job opportunities, Rainbow really resonated with my feelings and beliefs toward pediatric care. After meeting Dr. Reddy and her team, I knew it was the right place for me. Also, I had always wanted to paint the walls of my previous clinic like a Dr. Seuss book and the 210 office nailed it so I guess it was meant to be!
What do you enjoy about working with kids? The magic! Kids have such a wonderful, and often hilarious, way of seeing the world and they are never afraid to share it. That and there is nothing better than getting a hug from a child you managed to help or upon whom you were able to make a positive impact.
What is your area of expertise? Primary care pediatrics: well and sick, chronic and acute. I enjoy all the various situations pediatrics can throw at you. It keeps life interesting.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not at Rainbow Pediatrics? Cooking (and the subsequent eating), running (to offset the aforementioned eating), and spending time with my family.
If you only had 3 words to describe yourself what would they be? Fan Freaking Tastic or if that doesn’t count then enthusiastic, friendly, and kind
What is your favorite children’s book?
To read to my kids: Berenstains’ B Book by Stan and Jan Berenstain (I love alliteration)
When I was a kid: Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein
Tell me about your family. I have the incredible good fortune to be married to the most amazing woman I’ve ever known and quite possibly in the world. We have three wonderful kids, two of whom are identical twins, and they are what keep our lives interesting and us on our toes. We enjoy family meals, board games, and going to parks and the beach.
One interesting fact about yourself? I served in the United States Air Force for 7 years.
