Why did you choose to work at Rainbow Pediatric Center?
Upon meeting everyone I knew that this was a team that cared about their patients and family’s well-being, but also their own work family. I wanted to be a part of that, and haven’t looked back.
What do you enjoy about working with kids?
Kids have always been my passion, and their honesty makes me laugh every day. I like getting to know a patient and family as a whole. I value taking the time to step back and see the bigger picture of what each child brings to their family as something unique. To me, this is something truly special about pediatrics.
What is your area of expertise?
I love primary care because I enjoy watching children grow and develop. Well child checks are my favorite because I love celebrating new milestone accomplishments and watching as a child’s personality blooms over the course of childhood.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not at Rainbow Pediatrics?
I love to travel and have been to 5 continents and over 25 countries! When at home, I enjoy cooking and baking, taking my dog for walks and exploring new restaurants.
If you only had 3 words to describe yourself what would they be?
Loyal, compassionate and persistent.
What is your favorite children’s book?
Tacky the Penguin by Helen Lester.
Tell me about your family?
My boyfriend and I moved to FL from the Midwest to chase warmer weather and have loved every second of it! We have 2 rescues, a dog named Murphy, and a cat named Eddie. I am still working on my green thumb to keep my plant babies alive!
One interesting fact about yourself?
I am a dual citizen with the small European country of Latvia, and I speak Latvian!
